沖縄島以南の南西諸島に分布する。海外では台湾、フィリピン、ニューギニア、ソロモン諸島及びグアムから知られており、枯れ木や枯れ枝に生息する。メスの前腿節の内側に3－5個の歯状突起を備えるが、オスにはない。食菌性。

This species is distributed in the Ryukyu Islands south of Okinawa Is. It is also known from Taiwan, the Philippines, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Guam, and lives on dead trees and dead branches. Females have 3-5 dentate tubercles on the inside of the fore femur, but males do not. Fungus-feeder.
